General inspections

General inspection concerns yachts built without supervision, yachts classified before by the classifying institutions or marine administration as yachts for, and used before on, inland waters.

General inspection aims at ensuring the adequacy of the technical state of the yacht regarding hull construction, rigging and all other equipment that has any influence on the yacht safety.

After the general inspection the supervisor issues the “Protocol from the general inspection of the yacht built without the supervision of PYA Marine Technical Team”. The Protocol is the basis for the periodic inspection.

For more information on requirements and rules of general inspection see “Supervision rules, building and equipment of sea vessels” by PYA Marine Technical Team.
